Just off of U.S. 40, and on the edge of the cowboy town of Williams, stands the gates to a wild animal rescue endearingly called ‘Bearizona’. Bearizona has sought to afford a place animals that can no longer live in the wild can call home. Ranging from an assortment of raptors, to bears, bison, and wolves it is an entertaining activity for adults and children alike.
The park currently maintains 8a.m. – Dusk hours; with the last car admitted at 4p.m. Be sure to check hours at their website. The price is also posted on this page, with admission presently at $20 per adult and $10 per child. It is recommended that you visit the park early in the morning or in the later part of the afternoon when the animals are most active. Allow yourself at least 2-3 hours in the park to experience all the attractions.
The activities inside the park include a graded gravel road drive around the various enclosures. Most vehicles will be able to handle the drive fine, with the most daunting feature being cattle guards. Some stipulations of the drive however, are that your vehicle must be enclosed, with no racks or other equipment hanging off. Those riding in open air jeeps, or motorcycles, are able to take complimentary vehicles provided by the park, or join their Wild Ride!
The park also contains a walking portion with smaller fair available. Visitors are able to spot beaver, foxes, javelina, and the like. Two jaguar are also present in this walking section, located behind the gift shop, and their restaurant. Along with their, presently 9/12/17, under construction hotel.
There are also many events held through out the day, and throughout there season. Daily fair includes bird and raptor shows (the highlight of a day spent at the park), where the birds are close enough to touch; though they ask that you don’t disrupt the talent.
